OLCA News • Resolution 321-10 Fuel Tax • Orchidland Design Plan • OLCA Neighborhood Watch • Civil Defense Phone Tree • Volunteers Needed OLCA Neighborhood Watch The Neighborhood Watch Program is underway here at Orchidland. We need to get your help, support, and input into this very important committee. If you witness a crime, trash dumping in progress, please call the police. The police will want to speak with the eyewitness of the crime committed. Burglaries, break ins, thefts, and robberies are real problems and we want to prevent such actions. The police have a program to inspect your home and valuables to help you protect youself, your family, and your property. Trash dumping is a real problem here in Orchidland. If you see anyone dumping trash, dead animals, construction material, anything. Try and get the license plate of the person’s vehicle, AND CALL THE POLICE. ATV's are also a problem. The police started a program of confiscating ATV's last year, but the Mayor put a stop to that program. If you have a camera, try to take a picture of the person on the ATV. Vicious dogs, loose animals, are a dangerous problem to all here in the community. Report any loose vicious dogs to the police or to the Humane Society. We all need to be the eyes and ears of this community. Please let us know via our e-mail, on the Orchidland web site, or phone (808-934-7738) if you can help out. I encourage you to help us deal with these quality of life issues. If you have suggestions on how to better improve the neighborhood watch program, please contact us. Report reckless driving.
